What a most excellent day for riding

Today was an incredible day for riding - 20+ degrees with no wind and a very warm sun - unbelievable for October 26 in this part of the world. So I rode...

FALL RIDING

Ride along with BAT Mk2

Did a ride along video while trying to figure out a camera mount for bikes.
Basically just a cam on a stick tied on with a piece of bungee cord (hooks removed)...

New grips on the BAT

Replaced the hand grips on the BAT - old ones were the type of dirt bike grips that scream bargain basement... new grips look a little better - black foamie things - were a bitch to get on though...

Firestone Gum Dipped

Mounted a pair of vintage Firestone Gum Dipped Sport tires. Very tight stiff tires to mount, probably the only tire worst then Gazelles. Unidirectional sport tires and ding-dong me mounted the rear tire backwards so I had to redo the rear. Very handsome looking tires...

Variator top speed mod

One way to get some 'free' top end on a variated bike is to shave the movable cheek to ensure that at full variation the belt is all the way up to the top of the drive pulley.
