The Pug has had some paint and body work repair attempts: basically the previous owner brushed on some sort of primer-surfacer. Rather unsightly and though I am NOT a body work or paint person at all I feel I should make an attempt at reworking it to at least gain a uniform colour... I hope...
So I removed the headlight nacelle to be the guinea pig of my attempts to fix the paint problem.

Little BB CT lives!
After going over the bike just a bit I decided it was worth while giving her a kick to see if she would run happily - yep she runs!
Just have to change out the ols fuel though because you can smell the varnish in the smoke!

1963 Pug BB CT
Spent the afternoon driving out to Ottawa and back to get a 1963 Peugeot BB CT...
She is home and getting acquainted with the Moby...
Sweet deal - traded a rolling chassis and 3 speed tranny for the Peugeot - great when a swap has both parties super happy with the trade!

Ride in Eastern Ontario
So here is a video of the 1970 Moby 50V with a sidecar. Video is shaky because the camera is mounted directly to the deck of the sidecar with no shock mount or anything like that...
Little video takes you for a tour past Rollies farm and then up to the woods near Frankie place.
also I am not the best at making videos, but I did want to share with anyone who is interested...

Trouble with Torrot
Poor old Torrot has been loosing speed and feeling very anemic recently. Decoked the exhause and noticed a bit of dribble from around the cylinder deck-head union so time to address a head gasket issue... that was a few weeks back...
Today I tackled the trouble of the Torrot by changing out the head gasket which was blown through for one for a Peugeot - perfect fit.
While it was headless, may as well decoke the piston and clean the combustion chamber... then set the timing as I could set it with a straight edge across the bore. Now she runs like a champ!

POUTINE HAS RETURNED
Poutine shack is now open in town, so a lot of time is spent finding reasons to go into town around a meal time to make excuses to have some excellent fries with cheese curds and gravy
